Lines the stores actually print

  • PlayStation chip: Remote Play supported
  • Xbox capability: Xbox cloud saves

Those lines are the US PlayStation Standard Edition page and the US Xbox product page, read October 6, 2026. “Remote Play supported” is a PlayStation compatibility chip. “Xbox cloud saves” is one Xbox capability, next to Single player, Optimized for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox achievements, and Xbox presence.

Other pages turn the chip into phone-only play, or turn “cloud saves” into Xbox Cloud Gaming. This page does not. A store chip is not a cloud catalog, and a save capability is not a stream of the game.

“1 player” and offline play are different chips. Those answers stay on the crossplay guide and the offline-play guide.

What Remote Play says it is

Sony’s Remote Play page says you stream PlayStation games from your console to a phone, tablet, computer, or another screen. It also says a PS4 or PS5 console is required to stream games to other devices, and that PlayStation Portal requires a PS5.

The same page’s footnote says games that must be streamed with a PlayStation Plus Premium membership are not compatible with Remote Play. The GTA 6 chip is Remote Play. This page does not turn that chip into a Premium catalog listing. PlayStation Plus stays on the offline-play guide.

Cloud routes this page will not invent

Asked route On the published lines
A phone with no console Console required
Xbox Cloud Gaming Not in the list
A PC cloud service No PC version announced
PlayStation Plus Premium catalog Not this chip
Crossplay Separate answer

A phone can be the screen. Sony still requires the console. The store chip does not say Grand Theft Auto VI runs with no PlayStation hardware.

No PC version is announced, so a PC cloud service has no announced build to stream. That answer stays on the PC guide. Which machines are named stays on the platforms guide.

A missing Xbox Cloud Gaming line is not a promise the service will never carry the game. Store pages can gain a line later. Game Pass stays on the offline-play guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play GTA 6 on my phone without a console?

The US PlayStation store lists “Remote Play supported,” checked October 6, 2026. Sony’s Remote Play page says a PS4 or PS5 console is required to stream games to other devices, and PlayStation Portal requires a PS5. The chip does not say the game runs on a phone by itself.

Is GTA 6 Remote Play the same as cloud gaming?

Are Xbox cloud saves the same as playing GTA 6 in the cloud?

The capability is named “Xbox cloud saves.” The same list does not name cloud gaming. This page does not describe what a cloud save contains. Crossplay stays on the crossplay guide.

Can I stream GTA 6 on a PC cloud service?
