Which platforms GTA 6 is confirmed on, and which are not announced
Platform Status What is actually known
PlayStation 5 Confirmed November 19, 2026. The announced PlayStation platform. A PS5 Pro plays PS5 games; Rockstar has not published a separate Pro resolution or frame rate.
Xbox Series X and Series S Confirmed November 19, 2026. Both Series consoles are in the Xbox Series X|S line Take-Two named. No Xbox One version is part of that announcement.
Windows PC Not announced No date, no Steam or Rockstar Launcher listing, and no system requirements. A later port is a historical pattern, not a schedule.
PlayStation 4 Not a launch platform The launch announcement names PlayStation 5, not PS4.
Xbox One Not a launch platform The launch announcement names Xbox Series X|S, not Xbox One.
Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 Not announced No Nintendo platform appears in the Rockstar or Take-Two launch listings.
Android and iOS Not announced No mobile version has been announced.

What “PS5 and Xbox Series X|S” does and does not include

Take-Two’s preorder announcement lists Grand Theft Auto VI for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, at $79.99 for the Standard Edition. Rockstar Support repeats those platforms for the Standard and Ultimate editions and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. That is the launch set.

PlayStation 5 here means the PS5 game. A PS5 Pro can run PS5 software. Rockstar has not published a GTA 6 performance table — no resolution, no frame-rate mode, no “enhanced” specification on the preorder release. Do not treat a Pro label on a storefront as a confirmed graphics mode until Rockstar describes one.

Xbox Series X|S covers Series X and Series S. It does not add Xbox One. Last-generation consoles, Nintendo hardware, and phones are absent from the listing, which is not the same thing as a permanent “never,” but it is a clear “not at this launch.”

Which console can run the game is not which account can redeem a code. PlayStation region groups, and the line that Xbox codes are not region-locked, are on the region-lock guide.

PC, and why online is not a third platform

No PC version is announced. At Take-Two’s September 17, 2026 shareholder meeting, CEO Strauss Zelnick said the PC platform is becoming more important to the company over time, while answering a question about PC launch cadence. He did not give GTA 6 a PC year. The separate PC guide keeps GTA 5’s 19-month gap and Red Dead Redemption 2’s roughly one-year gap labelled as precedent. How GTA 5 eventually reached more hardware is on the GTA 6 vs GTA 5 platforms page — that comparison is not this launch list.

The same meeting described the November 19 release as a single-player title on Xbox and PlayStation 5, with no recurrent consumer spending anticipated for this launch, and with GTA V Online continuing. A GTA 6 online mode — and any crossplay that would depend on one — has not been announced. The direct answer lives at is GTA 6 crossplay. Launch mode stays on is multiplayer in GTA 6.

Digital preload for the confirmed consoles opens November 12, 2026. Install size is still unpublished. Details are on the preload guide. The age rating is also unpublished: Take-Two says the game is not yet rated, and the US Xbox listing says Rating Pending. That answer is the age-rating guide. Supported languages are a separate list: the Rockstar Store names 13 and does not say which are spoken. That answer is the languages guide. Accessibility options are also unpublished: the US Xbox store lists five capabilities and no subtitle, color-blind, aim-assist, or remap line. That answer is the accessibility guide. System requirements are unpublished too: the US PlayStation and Xbox store pages do not print an install size, a CPU chart, or PC requirements. That answer is the system requirements guide. Offline play is a separate chip: the US PlayStation store lists “Offline play enabled,” and neither that page nor the US Xbox store lists PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass. That answer is the offline-play guide. In-game purchases are a separate store line: the US PlayStation page lists “In-game purchases optional,” and the US Xbox legal notices say the product offers in-app purchases. Neither line names a shop. That answer is the microtransactions guide. Cloud play is a separate chip: the US PlayStation store lists “Remote Play supported,” and Sony’s Remote Play page streams that from a console you have. The US Xbox capabilities list names cloud saves and does not name cloud gaming. That answer is the cloud guide. Split-screen is a separate chip question: the US PlayStation store lists “1 player,” and the US Xbox capabilities list names Single player. Neither list names split-screen or local co-op. That answer is the split-screen guide.
