GTA 6 Criminal Profile

Post-show canonical Updated August 30, 2026

Criminal Profile is a long-term behavior system separate from the wanted level. Rockstar says repeated choices can change how Leonida reacts to Jason and Lucia and how parts of their story play out, without defining one “correct” way to play.

The short answer

What changed on August 27

GTA 6 has both a temporary wanted level and a longer-running Criminal Profile. The wanted level tracks an active police response; Criminal Profile responds to patterns in how the player commits crimes and interacts with the world.

Criminal Profile FAQ

Is Criminal Profile the same as the wanted level?

No. The wanted level represents an active police response. Criminal Profile is described as a longer-term record of consistent behavior that can change world and story reactions.

Is GTA 6’s Criminal Profile an honor system?

It has been compared with Red Dead Redemption 2’s honor system, but Rockstar frames it around criminal behavior without a single morally correct way to play.
