The PED Cycles BMX is a small stunt bicycle familiar from Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, with earlier roots in the series. Its link to Grand Theft Auto VI so far rests on a single detail from the second trailer: a missing-bike poster showing a grey BMX pinned to a bulletin board in the lobby of a Vice City apartment complex.

GTA VI Classification

In Grand Theft Auto VI, the BMX is assigned to the Cycles vehicle class and is made by PED Cycles. The available material identifies it as a bicycle; it does not establish GTA VI purchase options, spawn points, usable variants, or handling behaviour.

Earlier Purchase Prices

In Grand Theft Auto V, Pedal and Metal Cycles sold the BMX for $500. Its Grand Theft Auto Online price was $800 through the same retailer. In story mode, it could also be created with the PC cheat “bandit.”

Story-mode examples included streets and back alleys in Chamberlain Hills, where Families members used them, and Grove Street in Davis, where Ballas riders were common. Taking one from a Families rider prompted an attack. A BMX could also appear at houses, including the dealer’s property visited during Hood Safari.

Parks, Trails and Tracks

The bicycle appeared around Vespucci Beach’s skate park, either left near skaters or ridden by a stunt-performing NPC. Other possible locations included the Big O Fruit Juice stand on Arthur’s Pass Trails in Vinewood Hills, the half-pipes at BJ Smith Recreational Center and Broker Park, and the Redwood Lights Track during evening hours.

Online retained the possibility of finding BMXs at the same free-roam sites, though infrequently. Riding one around those locations increased the chance that another would appear. A purple example featured in Investigation: The Ballas, but could not be kept, while a lime-green BMX inside The Freakshop could not be taken outdoors.

Frame and Equipment

The GTA V and Online BMX had a notably compact frame and small wheels. It carried a single brake control on the right side of the handlebar, with neither a bell nor a light fitted. Although its bicycle description referred to pegs, the model itself lacked them.

Frame paint could spawn in several primary colours. The bike’s low weight and short dimensions supported bunny hops and wheelies, while its manoeuvrability suited stunt use. Its wheels could be knocked off in a sufficiently hard collision with an object or another vehicle. These design and performance details are documented for the earlier games, rather than confirmed GTA VI features.

Speed, Missions and Quirks

Among the named bicycles, the BMX trailed the Tri-Cycles, Whippet, Endurex and Scorcher in speed, but outran the Cruiser. Mission and activity use included a rental-bike spawn in Daddy’s Little Girl and three riders encountered in Hood Safari; the latter scene referenced Sweet & Kendl from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Ballas used BMXs in several appearances, including Grove Street Survival, Scrapyard Survival, Investigation: The Ballas and Ballas-controlled stash houses. Los Santos Vagos and Marabunta Grande riders appeared during Nightclub Raid: Gang Raid, while Vagos could also use them in Casino Work: Recovery Time. First Dose 4 - Uncontrolled Substance placed the player on one during its opening segment.

At the map boundary where vehicles stop functioning, a BMX could behave like a motorcycle with a dead engine, making the rider perform a kick-starting motion. NPCs also reacted as though a bell had been used when the horn control was pressed repeatedly, despite the bike having no bell.
