The Brute Boxville is a multi-stop delivery truck known from Grand Theft Auto IV and later entries and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It surfaced in the September 2022 leaks wearing its blue-and-white GoPostal livery in Port Gellhorn and La Perle, a pink example features on the Ambrosia page of the promotional website, and the design is primarily based on the GMC Value-Van/Chevrolet Step-Van.
Gas Stop and La Perle
The September 2022 footage showed the Boxville heading north past the Gas Stop outlet in Port Gellhorn. A separate clip placed one near an auto-repair business in La Perle, Vice City. Neither appearance established GTA VI-specific mechanical specifications, available variants, or traffic-spawn behaviour. Rockstar’s Ambrosia promotional website also includes a pink Boxville.
GTA IV Body and Cabin
Grand Theft Auto IV gave the Boxville a more rounded shell than its earlier form, with a narrower front end, a larger bumper, and a step below the rear cargo doors. Rather than fully separating the cab from the load area, this version used a short passage between them. It accommodated four people: the driver and one passenger up front, plus two riders in the rear compartment.
The rear was sparsely fitted out, with wooden bench seating positioned over each wheel arch. Clean trucks and graffiti-covered versions were both used. Its reversing alarm was shared with several similarly styled utility vehicles, while its horn used truck audio. Around Bohan, it was regularly encountered in Industrial and Acter Industrial Park, and it could appear in a Nickel Street garage lot beneath the Galveston Avenue overpass.
GTA V GoPostal Specification
In Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, the Boxville remained a Brute vehicle in the Vans class, although its body is that of a medium truck. The GTA V-era standard truck carried blue-and-white GoPostal branding; unlike the GTA IV rendition, it did not normally use lower-panel graffiti or the former red side stripe.
Its listed layout remained a turbocharged inline-four at the front, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed transmission. Earlier versions used the same engine audio as the Mule, Benson, and Stockade. Enhanced editions instead assigned it the lighter van and recreational-vehicle sound heard on the Surfer, Journey, and Camper.
Weight, Turning and Braking
The GTA IV Boxville was described as very heavy, with slow acceleration, limited speed, sluggish steering, and braking that could still require considerable distance. That mass also let it shove smaller cars, including compacts and sedans, aside, but abrupt cornering could overturn the truck. Its apparent drivetrain was a twin-cam, turbocharged inline-four paired with a low-ratio five-speed gearbox.
GTA V retained its great weight and broadly similar speed, but its handling model made the truck turn more readily. Firmer suspension improved acceleration and braking compared with the prior game, without removing the effects of its mass.
Special Trucks and File Quirks
A brown Boxville was obtainable during Father/Son in GTA V. Other examples could be parked at the Post OP facility in Paleto Bay and at the GoPostal building in Downtown Vinewood. Unlike ordinary ambient vehicles, it was not placed in general roadside traffic; it emerged from selected business driveways, lots, and alleys. Early-morning delivery scenarios used a dedicated GoPostal set, while a broader delivery-truck set grouped it with other large and small delivery vehicles.
A planned NOOSE Boxville had a unique NOOSE paint scheme and a siren, but was removed before release. GTA V’s lighting textures still contained blue and red emergency-light assets inherited from GTA IV. Game files also held a brown secondary colour for the GoPostal truck, but a livery-selection error prevented natural spawning in that scheme. Police-scanner data treated GoPostal as a maker and consistently called the truck white, even when missions supplied another colour.
