The Bravado Dorado is a four-door SUV added to Grand Theft Auto Online on December 21, 2023 during the Festive Surprise continuation of The Chop Shop update, and it is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. In-game copy paints it as the Bison's disreputable older cousin with a rough past and poor fuel economy.
GTA VI Sightings
The Dorado has appeared in two Grand Theft Auto VI promotional views. A silver example is parked at Watson Bay in an official Grassrivers screenshot. A white one is shown passing the Allied Crystal Sugar Refinery in the Ambrosia postcard video on the game’s promotional website.
These are confirmed visual appearances rather than details carried over from Grand Theft Auto Online. The vehicle is a Bravado SUV with a light-truck body type, and Ambrosia is one of the regions in which it has been spotted. No trailer timestamp is associated with either known appearance.
Dodge Durango Foundation
The main real-world basis is the first-generation Dodge Durango, chassis code DN. The Dorado follows that vehicle’s four-door SUV format, rather than being a pickup or a smaller crossover.
Its name may also follow a place-name pattern: Dorado is a town in Puerto Rico, while the Durango name refers to Durango City in Colorado. In Simplified Chinese Grand Theft Auto Online, Dorado is rendered as Jiàn yú, meaning “swordfish.”
Front and Rear Influences
Several exterior parts draw from different late-1990s and early-2000s vehicles. The headlamps resemble those on the 1995–1997 Chevrolet Blazer and the second-generation Oldsmobile Bravada, known as the GMT330. The front bumper has similarities to the 1999–2002 Ford Expedition, chassis code UN93.
The grille takes cues from later Dodge trucks, including the third-generation Dodge Ram and second-generation Durango HB. Its bars are arranged differently, however: the horizontal member is heavier than the vertical one, producing an appearance associated with 1990s Chevrolet trucks. At the back, the lamp arrangement resembles that of the second-generation Toyota 4Runner, N120/130, while the tailgate recalls the 2001–2003 Ford Explorer Sport, UN52.
Online Store and Updates
Before its GTA VI appearance, the Dorado was introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in version 1.68. It was sold through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $1,375,000. It is a four-door SUV there as well.
Version 1.69, released with the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, restored exhaust modification choices that had previously been unavailable. This change applies to the Grand Theft Auto Online vehicle; the known GTA VI material does not show its purchase price, modification catalogue, or other gameplay specifications.
Cabin and Modification Faults
The Dorado uses the same interior as the Cavalcade. Rockstar’s in-game description also presents it as the Bison’s disreputable older cousin, referring to a troubled history and poor fuel economy.
Before the exhaust-category fix, the option could briefly appear on a mod-shop menu before disappearing, leaving exhaust upgrades inaccessible through normal selection. A separate lighting error affects the Neon Layout setting for the front, rear, and sides: one whole underbody-light strip is absent along the driver’s side.
