Infernus Classic

Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer shows only a limited view of the Infernus Classic: part of its rear appears at 0:31. The car is parked on an Ocean Drive-like street in Vice Beach, within the Vice City region.

In that shot, it sits ahead of a Landstalker XL and behind a Granger 3600LX. No GTA VI-specific mechanical details, customization options, or full exterior view have been shown.

Its principal real-world reference is the Lamborghini Diablo. The low, elongated wedge shape, upward-opening doors, wheel design, cabin treatment, and V12 layout all follow the Diablo closely.

Other elements draw from several cars. The side intake treatment, rear treatment, and parts of the interior resemble the Cizeta-Moroder V16T. Its nose and retractable headlights recall the Ferrari Testarossa, while the taillamp arrangement and rear mesh take cues from the Ferrari F50. The slotted engine lid may reference the Lamborghini Countach LP400 S.

The in-car radio appears to reference Alpine equipment used in the Diablo through Lamborghini and Alpine Electronics’ collaboration, with similarities to the Alpine 7618 and 7903 units.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, the design retains the long proportions and rear-mid-engine arrangement associated with the newer Infernus, but much of its styling follows the Grand Theft Auto III Infernus, particularly its unreleased “Dyablo” version.

At the front, a broad black grille contains lamps, indicators, and auxiliary lights, with brake-cooling openings beneath it. Twin round lamps sit inside the pop-up headlight units. The front-hinged bonnet opens forward and includes a Pegassi badge and a vent near the base of the windscreen.

A single side strake divides the side intakes between engine and rear-brake cooling. Additional intakes begin behind the side windows, while the B-pillars run into the rear bodywork. The scissor doors lift without moving outward. A carbon-fibre rear panel carries the lights, reverse lamps, a grille beneath the plate, and two pairs of exhaust outlets.

The rear compartment contains a large V12 with offset intake manifolds, joined to a six-speed transmission that drives the rear wheels. Its engine audio is shared with the Infernus. The long wheelbase can provoke oversteer, although the car remains manoeuvrable; it has lower top speed than the Turismo Classic and is heavier than that rival.

The cabin has a squared-off driver-side dashboard, blue gauges derived from the Banshee but rearranged, warning lamps, two air-conditioning vents, and a passenger glovebox. Its centre console combines carbon-fibre trim, gauges, radio, shifter, and buttons. Pegassi branding appears on the glovebox, horn centre, mats, and a case beside the shifter.

Primary paint covers the body and portions of the engine’s cam covers. Secondary paint is used on the mirrors, rear-side vents, and interior stitching, while trim colour affects the dashboard, doors, seats, and horn-surround detail. The standard wheels use six rounded spokes with circular gaps and visible bolt detailing.

The Infernus Classic has been sold through Legendary Motorsport for $915,000. Cars bought there carry a Diablo SV-like stock rear wing, while examples created by other means lack that wing.

It appears in the Repo – Under the Hammer mission, where it is stolen and taken to a Terminal warehouse. It is also present, but unavailable, during the Showroom Business Battle at Premium Deluxe Motorsport. Los Santos Tuners includes it among the 100 possible Exotic Exports vehicles requested by Brucie Kibbutz.
