Ingot

The available GTA VI material identifies the Ingot only through the September 2022 leak footage. That appearance confirms a Vulcar vehicle in the Port Gellhorn region, but no GTA VI-specific mechanical specifications, trim options, purchase details, or revised model features have been described.

The Ingot’s central inspiration is the Volvo V70. Its front-end treatment also borrows from the 1994–1997 Audi A6 Avant, while the 1993–1997 Volkswagen Passat wagon informed the rear bumper and the broad, boxy profile. The headlamps resemble those of the third-generation Ford Fiesta.

At the rear, the lamp clusters and tailgate draw on the 1996–2001 Nissan Stagea. The GTA IV VD90R package took further cues from the Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech, while its designation appears to reference Volvo’s V70R. The name “Ingot” itself means a formed block of metal, fitting the vehicle’s squared-off shape.

The Ingot first appeared in Grand Theft Auto IV, then carried into Chinatown Wars, Grand Theft Auto V, and Grand Theft Auto Online. Chinatown Wars retained the IV design in a simplified form; versions outside the Nintendo DS release had more visual detail than the DS model.

GTA V reused the GTA IV wagon with very few exterior changes. Improved lighting and rear-window textures were added, but the basic model remained the same. Roof rails remained optional on spawned cars. The enhanced GTA V version received a higher-detail Feroci-derived cabin, which may include a phone holder with phone, a small fan, and an air freshener.

In GTA V and Online, it is listed in the Sedans class despite its full-size station-wagon body. Its two-tone finish continued from GTA IV, with the lower body sides and both bumpers using the secondary shade; most newer spawn colour combinations use black for that secondary paint.

In GTA IV, the Ingot uses a transverse double-overhead-cam inline-four and a four-speed transmission, paired with rear-wheel drive. It is presented as a family-oriented all-rounder rather than a performance car: steering is responsive, the suspension supports cornering at modest speeds, and its low weight helps traction, braking, and acceleration. Damage tolerance is reasonable, although trucks and vans are tougher and most other vehicles are quicker.

GTA V and Online instead give it a low-output transverse straight-four, five-speed gearbox, and front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. Its tall upper gearing makes it slow on highways and especially poor on inclines, but its moderate suspension setup suits urban streets. Wet downhill driving can produce Scandinavian flicks because of its balanced mass distribution and limited power. The engine model creates an inconsistency: viewed from above it is transverse, while the underside lacks the connecting differential expected for that arrangement.

GTA IV occasionally generated a VD90R Ingot, recognised by deleted badges, a replacement grille, restrained spoiler, body kit, and candy-red paint. Russian Mafia members used this version, especially around Hove Beach. Standard GTA IV Ingots could also have roof bars, while the VD90R equipment was absent from the normal GTA V and Online vehicle customisation options. A VD90R-bodied example nevertheless appears in GTA V’s Pißwasser commercial.

In GTA Online, Southern San Andreas Super Autos once offered the Ingot for $9,000, before the San Andreas Mercenaries update removed it from the enhanced-version website. Los Santos Customs sold it for $900. The vehicle-model set named CARS_STATION_WAGON contains only the Ingot, Stratum, and Regina, producing a one-in-three Ingot chance where that set is used.

Several model issues have been recorded. GTA IV placed the exhaust pipe behind the rear bumper while visual exhaust emerged as though it were unobstructed. GTA V moved the exhaust effect but positioned it too far rearward and low. Its headlight glow is offset between lamp compartments, and enhanced GTA V made the headlight texture more transparent. Rockstar Games Social Club also misspelled the manufacturer as “Vulcan” instead of Vulcar.
