A compact car from in-game manufacturer Declasse is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, having first surfaced in the September 2022 leaks. In the first trailer it is glimpsed several times: in black passing a row of sports cars on the Ocean Drive-style street, in blue on CCTV outside a gas station overrun by an alligator, and in black again near a freeway crash.
Chevrolet Aveo and Sonic Roots
The car’s overall basis appears to be the second-generation Chevrolet Aveo, sold in some markets as the Chevrolet Sonic hatchback. Its front end combines cues from other real vehicles: the bumper resembles that of the E210 Toyota Corolla, while the grille and headlamp treatment draw from the Mk7 Volkswagen Golf.
At the rear, the styling blends Aveo/Sonic elements with details associated with the W176 Mercedes-Benz A-Class and the pre-facelift W246 Mercedes-Benz B-Class. The taillamp and rear-fascia design therefore differs from the more direct Aveo/Sonic influence suggested by the body shape.
Leak Footage Identification
September 2022 footage provided the closest views of the vehicle’s nose and tail. A Declasse emblem is visible on its grille in that material, identifying the in-game manufacturer rather than leaving the make inferred solely from its real-world influences.
The available footage shows the car from both front and rear angles, supporting the identification of the mixed styling references. No prices, named variants, modification options, performance figures, or gameplay characteristics have been shown for the compact.
