Key Lento Living Arrangement
Brian Heder, an established figure in the Keys drug trade, allowed Jason to stay at one of his properties in Key Lento. Jason’s condition for remaining there was to assist with Heder’s local illegal work. Jason is also affiliated with Cal Hampton and Dre’Quan Priest, though the available information does not explain either connection or their roles in Heder’s operations.
Bonnie-and-Clyde Parallel and Surname
Bonnie and Clyde had previously served as an inspiration for Catalina in Grand Theft Auto’s 3D Universe, making the comparison between Jason and Lucia a repeat of an earlier series reference. Jason’s surname may derive from William Pope Duval, who governed the Florida Territory from 1822 until 1834.
