The Vapid Aleutian is a four-door SUV introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in The Chop Shop update and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. In Online it can be fitted with Imani Tech upgrades such as armor plating, slick mines, and a missile lock-on jammer, positioning it as a heavily optioned entry in Vapid's utility lineup.
GTA VI sightings
A black Vapid Aleutian appears in a Port Gellhorn parking area at 2:28 in the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. It is also shown more than once at the Allied Crystal Sugar Refinery car park in the Ambrosia postcard published through the game’s promotional website.
These are the identified GTA VI appearances. The vehicle is listed as a Vapid light truck in the SUV class, with Port Gellhorn recorded as a sighted region.
Real-world design basis
The Aleutian’s main shape closely follows the fourth-generation Ford Expedition, chassis code U553. Its nose combines that body with styling from the third-generation Ford Everest, the U704/UB: the headlamps, grille, and front bumper particularly reflect the Everest.
At the rear, its lamps and bumper draw from a blend of the Expedition and Everest designs, alongside elements associated with the fifth-generation GMC Yukon, GMT1UG. The name refers to the Aleutian Islands, the island chain running between Alaska and Russia.
Online equipment and issues
Before its GTA VI appearance, the Aleutian was sold in Grand Theft Auto Online through Legendary Motorsport for $1,835,000. Its cabin shares the Cavalcade gauge cluster and the New SUV White interior layout used by the Granger 3600LX, Issi Rally, and Vivanite; a Vapid emblem is fitted to the steering-wheel horn pad.
Its highest-detail model originally lacked the passenger-side headlamp glass and running light, although lower-detail versions displayed them. Bottom Dollar Bounties corrected that defect. The Executive Office Vehicle Workshop does not show the Snorkels category, and the Chrome Grille option is labelled “Chrome Grill.” Game files indicate bullet-resistant windows like those assigned to the Granger 3600LX and Jubilee, but the vehicle uses ordinary windows in play.
