Bobcat XL

The second GTA VI trailer briefly shows the Bobcat XL from behind at 0:44, with its tailgate lowered as Jason leaves a grocery store. Four official screenshots have also included the truck: one each set in Vice City, the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn and Ambrosia. The Port Gellhorn image confirms its presence in that region.

These are confirmed promotional appearances for GTA VI. The screenshots and trailer material show the vehicle in several settings, but do not establish whether every appearance uses the same configuration.

The GTA VI version appears to retain the established long-bed pickup shape while receiving small visual revisions. Its cab has extra front vent windows, the taillamps have more detailed textures, and the rear bumper has been redesigned.

The truck had already appeared repeatedly in the September 2022 leaked GTA VI footage. In those earlier clips, it used a model matching its previous-game form rather than the updated version visible in official material.

Its main real-world influence is the third-generation Chevrolet C/K dually. The Bobcat XL is presented as a two-door extended-cab pickup, but lacks the dual rear wheels associated with that Chevrolet configuration.

Its rear-light design is borrowed directly from the Moonbeam. Those lamps resemble units fitted to the Jeep Liberty KK. This asset connection is less obvious across the series because the Bobcat XL entered GTA V, while the Moonbeam is associated with GTA IV and GTA Online.

Vapid manufactures the Bobcat XL, which GTA V and GTA Online classify among Vans despite its light-truck body. It is an extended-wheelbase derivative of the earlier Bobcat from GTA IV. The cab carries over from the standard Bobcat, while the hood badges were removed and the front bumper gained a centrally placed plate mount.

The rear was substantially altered for the XL: it has a broader, longer bed, no bedside steps, enlarged rear fenders suggesting a dually layout, and single rear wheels despite that styling. The tailgate carries the vehicle name, while the flat rear bumper has another central plate position and a tow hitch like those used on the Sadler and Bison. That hitch permits small trailers.

Inside, the truck follows the original Bobcat’s dashboard arrangement but uses dark-grey trim instead of brown. Enhanced-edition examples received their own analogue instruments: large speed and rev dials at the sides, plus fuel and voltage gauges above the steering column.

Every Bobcat XL has a bull bar. Some spawn with a bed cap and a small windshield visor; examples may use a single paint colour or a two-tone scheme, with the lower body painted in the primary colour and the upper body and bed-rail tops in the secondary colour. Its industrial-style wheels resemble the Fairlie muscle rims available at Los Santos Customs.

In GTA Online, Southern San Andreas Super Autos sold the truck for $23,000 with The Business Update. Los Santos Customs listed both the standard and bed-cap versions for $2,300. The Super Autos catalogue placed it in its Luxury category, an unusual label for this heavy-duty pickup.

Its badges identify an 8.9-litre, 550-cubic-inch V10, although the engine model is a single-overhead-cam V8. It is rear-wheel drive through an apparent five-speed transmission despite “Super 4x4” badging. Its loud diesel audio is shared with the Bodhi, BeeJay XL and Granger.
