The Bravado Buffalo is a four-door muscle sedan from Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, descended from a two-door coupe in an earlier era, and due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. Its presence was first spotted in the first trailer, where a gray Buffalo appears during a street takeover in Crosstown.
Vice City Visual Record
Official GTA VI imagery places the Bravado Buffalo in Vice City. It appears in two released screenshots, one set in Downtown and another in La Perle. These images, alongside its appearance in the first trailer, confirm the model’s presence in the vice-city region.
The GTA VI material identifies the vehicle visually, but the released appearances do not establish its purchase price, performance, available upgrades, or any special version for the new game. Its in-game manufacturer is Bravado.
Charger-Based Exterior Cues
The Buffalo’s main real-world basis is the 2006–2010 Dodge Charger (LX). Its front end also draws from the 2007–2009 Ford Shelby GT500, while the rear-light treatment resembles that of the third-generation Toyota Crown Majesta.
Its lower bodywork takes inspiration from the Charger SRT-8. The result is a full-size, four-door design with a custom-looking lower kit, enlarged exhaust outlets, and ground-effect pieces in its earlier appearances.
From FIB To Civilian
The production Buffalo first appeared in The Ballad of Gay Tony as a civilian counterpart to the FIB Buffalo, which had already been used in Grand Theft Auto IV and The Lost and Damned. It carried a body kit, single-colour paint, and the same five-spoke wheel design used by the Rebla.
In GTA IV, advertising billboards depicted a related Buffalo with a large Bravado badge in the grille and police lights retained from the FIB model. The playable civilian and FIB versions instead used a smaller badge positioned above the grille. The civilian Buffalo was also described as narrower and slightly smaller than the government version.
Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online brought back the Ballad of Gay Tony design. In those games it was assigned to the Sports class and used an interior shared with the Stanier and Taxi. It retained its one-colour finish and five-spoke rims.
Owners, Sales, And Special Cars
Mori Kibbutz used a red or pink Buffalo in The Ballad of Gay Tony, including a Nitro-equipped example during This Ain’t Checkers. Evan Moss owned a blue one, while Dom Beasley drove an orange Buffalo in GTA V’s Targeted Risk. Buffaloes with unusual paint could also appear as Drug War convoy targets.
In GTA Online, Southern San Andreas Super Autos sold the Buffalo for $35,000. It was later removed from that website in the enhanced editions as part of the San Andreas Mercenaries update. It sometimes spawned around Strawberry, while GTA V placed it around Los Santos and on highways in Los Santos and Blaine County.
Drivetrain, Handling, And Quirks
In The Ballad of Gay Tony, the Buffalo used a supercharged twin-cam inline-four, a five-speed transmission, and a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. It was lighter than the FIB Buffalo and had stronger performance than its law-enforcement counterparts, although its rear end could step out under power. Its low clearance could cause trouble over obstacles, and high-speed impacts could deform its wheels.
GTA V and Online retained a front-mounted supercharged twin-cam straight-four with rear-wheel drive. The Buffalo was described as having strong braking, firm suspension, substantial traction, and good crash resistance. Its engine note was also used by the Jackal and modern Police Cruiser; in The Ballad of Gay Tony, it instead shared a higher-pitched sound with the Police Stinger.
Like the Infernus, Banshee, F620, Sultan RS, and Bullet, the earlier Buffalo could produce exhaust backfires during shifts. A Ballad of Gay Tony respray glitch could permanently turn one dark green after repeated Pay ’n’ Spray visits, a problem also affecting the Dukes, Infernus, and PMP 600. GTA V and Online once allowed bumper and skirt removal at Los Santos Customs through a glitch, later fixed by a patch.
