Impaler SZ

The Impaler SZ has appeared in official Grand Theft Auto VI screenshots set in Vice City, the Leonida Keys and the Grassrivers. Its Grassrivers appearance is therefore confirmed, rather than inferred from its earlier Grand Theft Auto Online use.

The screenshots show a revised version of the car when compared with its Grand Theft Auto Online model. Black plastic runs along the lower body in place of chrome lower trim, and it wears a different set of standard wheels. No trailer timestamp, variant name, price or GTA VI modification list has been identified.

Declasse’s full-size Muscle-class sedan is chiefly modelled on the 1994–1996 Chevrolet Impala SS, with the 1995–1996 examples providing especially close cues. The side mirrors and the shape of the C-pillar support that connection.

Its detailing also borrows from the fourth-generation Chevrolet Caprice, the Impala SS’s related base-model counterpart. The chrome treatment around the body and trunk area, along with the single tailpipe, follow Caprice-inspired styling. The rear lamps appear to draw from the 1989–1992 Infiniti M30, while the grille may reference the B4-generation Audi 80. Its six-spoke wheels resemble Impala SS wheels without copying their exact layout.

The Impaler SZ uses the poltax interior shared by the Stanier and Police Cruiser. Its instrument gauges take inspiration from those used in the sixth-generation Honda Civic, while the engine is a loose interpretation of General Motors LS-family engines.

Its basic four-door sedan arrangement also places it close to the Stanier in overall form. The named comparison concerns the body and shared cabin package; no GTA VI-specific interior revision has been shown alongside the exterior changes visible in the screenshots.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, Southern San Andreas Super Autos lists the Impaler SZ for $1,280,000. It is associated with Declasse and classified as a Muscle vehicle, while retaining the proportions and layout of a full-size sedan.

Its class assignment has not always been presented consistently. Rockstar Games Social Club continued to place it among Sedans even after the Bottom Dollar Bounties update moved the vehicle into the Muscle category. This mismatch applies to the online listings rather than establishing a separate GTA VI classification.

During The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid, a black Impaler SZ may be found outside either Vespucci Police Station or the Abandoned FIB Lockup, depending on the mission’s chosen starting point. In Hit and Run, putting a getaway vehicle into storage makes a gray example available outside the factory.

Several Grand Theft Auto Online issues have been recorded. Fitting a custom grille does not persist if the hood comes off, as the grille reverts to the factory version. Opening every door through the Interaction Menu reveals that the rear doors are visually detached from the body and appear to float; the Cruiser variant has the same fault.
