Locust

The Locust’s described Grand Theft Auto VI appearance is limited to a September 2022 leaked clip. In that footage, a green-and-yellow example drives past Lucia in the upper-left area of the image, partly obscured by the debug interface. No trailer timestamp, official screenshot, promotional placement, or regional setting is identified for the vehicle.

The Grand Theft Auto Online version takes its main shape from the 2015 Lotus 3-Eleven. Its headlamps draw on the Honda HSV-010 GT, while the front bumper resembles the Lotus Evora’s. The rear combines cues associated with the Aston Martin CC100 and Zenos E10, and the cabin may have taken inspiration from the Lotus 2-Eleven.

Its five-spoke wheel pattern is shared with the Ocelot T20. The Locust’s engine layout and purpose-built appearance place it closer to track-focused open cars than to conventional enclosed sports models.

The Locust name comes from the 2D Universe. Rockstar’s Legendary Motorsport description for the later model specifically refers to the vehicle’s GTA London 1969 appearance. The Grand Theft Auto Online Locust arrived on August 29, 2019, during Locust Week in the continuing phase of The Diamond Casino & Resort update.

It was sold through Legendary Motorsport for $978,000. The car was removed from that site with the San Andreas Mercenaries update, then restored to sale with Agents of Sabotage. Ocelot is its in-game manufacturer, and it is classified as a Sports vehicle with a sports body type.

A low black wind deflector runs across the dashboard in place of a conventional windscreen. The bonnet carries an exposed fuel intake, while carbon-fibre treatment is used around the rear section and lamp housings. A rear wing is fitted as standard. Opening the rear hatch gives access to the engine; opening the front compartment instead reveals what appears to be the fuel cell, whose intake remains visible when the panel is shut.

The cabin is a modified form of the race-oriented generic interior also used by the Drift Tampa. It has a single-colour dashboard and a digital speed display. Primary paint covers the body and steering-wheel stitching, while the secondary colour forms two broad stripes along the car and colours the cabin arch. Roll-cage padding can receive the otherwise inaccessible trim colour, and the dial-colour setting controls the optional coloured seats, although purchased examples have black seats.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Locust uses a rear-mid-mounted V8, rear-wheel drive, and a six-speed transmission. Its engine is likened to the one in the Elegy RH8, while its audio is compared with the Stinger and Cheburek. It can slide under hard cornering and may spin if turned too sharply. In unarmoured form, its stiff chassis can lift an inside rear wheel through bends; its behaviour differs when armoured.
