Seashark

At 0:22 of Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer, the Seashark appears beside a yellow jet ski on Vice Beach. The trailer vehicle has a sharper, more angular form than the version seen in the previous game, with a more elaborate handlebar assembly. In GTA VI, it is listed in the Boats class with a motorboat body type and carries the Speedophile manufacturer name.

The Seashark is closely modelled on an unnamed real-world personal-watercraft design. A second unnamed model contributed smaller cues around the sides and the raised lips behind the seats. The supplied identification does not name either real-world machine, so no more specific manufacturer or model attribution is established.

Before its GTA VI trailer appearance, the Seashark appeared in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online as a personal watercraft. Its earlier shape was rounder, with black plastic-like reinforcement around the outside of the hull and Speedophile 2000 markings along both sides. The forward section rose above the waterline and used narrow mesh openings leading toward the engine area.

Its fairing carried further branding, a small windscreen, and two mirror housings divided by a grey storage-area panel. The handlebars were largely black and included switches and analogue instruments; the enhanced edition used the Truck gauge set shared by many boats. A diamond-pattern metal platform sat at the rear, behind a two-person seat and ahead of a single propulsion nozzle. SP markings appeared on the upper deck.

In both GTA V and GTA Online, DockTease sold the Seashark for $16,899. GTA V placed four near the left side of Del Perro Pier, two north of Palmer-Taylor Power Station, and three at White Water Activity Center. It could also sometimes appear at a dock on Lake Vinewood.

Online retained the DockTease price and the four craft by Del Perro Pier. Owners of the Galaxy Super Yacht could have a Seashark brought to shore from the yacht’s anchor point. In GTA V, it appeared during Daddy’s Little Girl and Hood Safari; MC Clip’s crew owned the examples later taken during Hood Safari. Online missions Lost My Mind and A Clean Break also provided parked Seasharks, including three on a Palomino Highlands beach after the Swift crash.

The earlier Seashark combined strong acceleration and a good maximum speed with a tight turning circle. It was slower than the Speeder and Jetmax, but its compact size and manoeuvrability suited narrow waterways, places where larger boats could become trapped, and shallow water. Hard impacts could throw its riders from the craft.

A small inboard engine drove an impeller, forcing water through the nozzle at the stern to create thrust. Its engine note resembled the Stinger and Stinger GT. Its body colour covered most of the craft, while its horn sound was shared with the worn Tornado and Emperor.

Early GTA V trailer footage and pre-release images showed a black-hulled, two-tone Seashark with yellow illumination or outlining around the front Speedophile branding. Vehicle colour data also contained unused secondary-colour settings.
