Sheriff SUV

The available GTA VI material identifies no trailer timestamp, official screenshot, promotional image, or additional region for the Sheriff SUV. Its documented GTA VI appearance is limited to the leaked mission-like sequence already described elsewhere on this page; the material does not establish a new model, equipment change, or gameplay role beyond that sighting.

In GTA V and GTA Online, the Sheriff SUV is a Declasse Granger adapted for Sheriff and NOOSE tactical duties. It remains a light truck in the Emergency class, but carries police-specific hardware absent from the civilian Granger: a substantial front push bar, a dark grille, A-pillar spot lamps, and flashing red-and-blue LEDs fitted to the grille, mirrors, roof, rear glass, and tail lamps.

Antennas occupy the rearward roof area and the left-rear quarter panel. The vehicle has tinted windows of an unspecified type. Its wheel design also differs from the standard Granger, using black industrial-style rims resembling those found on the Mule, Benson, and Phantom. The available material does not name a precise real-world vehicle on which the Sheriff SUV is based.

The usual paint arrangement is black and white, with yellow SHERIFF lettering. White is assigned through the vehicle’s spawn configuration to the doors and roof, although one black example has a white roof section carrying its roof identifier. Roof numbers rotate among 05, 32, 76, and 84.

A number on the rear of each marked SUV ends with the same two digits shown above it. In GTA Online, a unique black unit with a white roof appears during the ending of The Fleeca Job. It pursues the armored Kuruma and commonly attempts a ram as the Magnet retrieves that car, but this particular SUV cannot be kept.

The Sheriff SUV shares its handling data with the FIB version. Alongside the FIB vehicle and Park Ranger, it is described as one of the strongest-performing SUVs in GTA V and GTA Online. Compared with the civilian Granger, it has stronger acceleration, firmer suspension, a high maximum speed, effective off-road behavior, and acceptable braking. The stiff setup also reduces its tendency to roll during fast corners.

Its turbocharged twin-cam inline-four drives all four wheels through a five-speed transmission, with a 60 percent front and 40 percent rear torque split. Although the engine cover resembles one for a V8, the listed engine is an inline-four. It uses the same engine audio as the regular Granger, BeeJay XL, and Bodhi. Torque, weight, and traction let it force through traffic, fences, roadblocks, and even some larger vehicles, while retaining speed on dirt or sand.

Eight people can ride in it: four in the cabin and four externally. Riders clinging to the outside can use assault rifles and light machine guns, but may be thrown off and killed by collisions. Entering the vehicle gives the player a Carbine Rifle.

At a four-star wanted level in GTA V and GTA Online, Sheriff SUVs begin appearing in Vinewood Hills, outer Los Santos County, and Blaine County, carrying two NOOSE TRU agents on their sides. They also serve in several GTA Online missions and roadblocks, including The Fleeca Job, The Pacific Standard Job, Escape Escort, Asset Seizure, Crash Site cargo thefts, and the Harmony Crime Scene vehicle-cargo theft.

Enhanced editions use a revised siren package: its main wail and secondary yelp are higher-pitched versions of FIB tones, while the auxiliary phaser remains shared with other police vehicles. Before update 1.06, Los Santos Customs allowed repainting and bulletproof tires, though the colour menus displayed placeholder labels and blank pearlescent names. On Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, non-functioning lamps appeared behind the windscreen; later enhanced editions removed them.
