A civilian Vapid full-size sedan is due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI, shown stranded in a Crosstown intersection at night during a street takeover in the first trailer, with cars spinning doughnuts around it and two female rappers dancing on its roof. Its four-door body seems rooted in Ford's Panther platform, the basis of the Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Town Car.
First Trailer Appearance
The Vapid sedan is visible at 0:46 in the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. The scene takes place at night in Crosstown, Vice City, with the car positioned in the middle of an intersection during a street takeover. Two nearby vehicles circle it while performing doughnuts, while two female rappers dance atop the sedan’s roof.
Crown Victoria Influences
Its body panels most closely resemble those of the second-generation Ford Crown Victoria. The wider design is not a direct copy of that generation alone: the four-door sedan combines traits associated with both the first- and second-generation Crown Victoria. The underlying real-world reference is Ford’s Panther platform, also used for the Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car.
Police Cruiser Comparison
The car uses a conventional full-size four-door layout comparable to the Police Cruisers that recur elsewhere in the series. In GTA VI, it is identified as a Vapid vehicle in the fullsize class, with a Full-Size body type.
