Blazer

The Blazer is visible at 1:06 in Grand Theft Auto VI’s first trailer, travelling with a biker group through La Perle in Vice City. This is the specific GTA VI appearance identified for the vehicle; the sighting places Nagasaki’s ATV in the Vice City region.

No GTA VI-specific performance, purchase, customization, or spawning information has been identified alongside that trailer appearance. Details of its mechanics and equipment below concern its Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online incarnation.

Its styling draws from the 2012 Yamaha YFZ450. The game vehicle also uses an aftermarket-style rear grab bar and exposed sport handlebars rather than covered grips.

In Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, the Blazer used a compact chassis with limited body panels. A small front guard protected the axle, while the upper nose carried a triangular panel, small fenders, and one rectangular lamp. Its front suspension used articulated arms, prominent springs, and shock absorbers, with the steering hardware positioned within the front axle.

The usual paint scheme combined two colours: one covered parts of the nose, side panels, and rear fenders, while the other appeared on the front fenders, upper nose, sides, and the area around the seat. Plain concave wheels with conical hubs and perimeter bolts were fitted with tall, knobby off-road tyres.

The Nagasaki Blazer was classed as an Off-Road vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. It was sold through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $8,000 in both games. In GTA V, it commonly appeared in Blaine County, including a pair on the Paleto Bay shoreline. Other fixed examples included one south of the Altruist camp trail bridge on Mount Chiliad, one near a Trashmaster and Dozer at Los Santos International Airport’s southeast side, and one on a wooden fishing platform at Lago Zancudo.

GTA Online placed examples around Sandy Shores, with additional parked locations including Vinewood Racetrack’s car park, the Del Perro Pier area, and the garage entrance at 1932 Grapeseed Avenue. It could rarely be encountered in Harmony and appeared near some JUNK skydive booths. The vehicle was removed from the in-game sales site during the San Andreas Mercenaries update, then returned with A Safehouse in the Hills.

The earlier Blazer was described as quick to accelerate, responsive, and capable off road, with effective braking and a good maximum speed. Its small dimensions allowed it through narrow routes and alleys. Like other motorcycles, it could lean, helping it remain stable after jumps, though its steering could be sensitive and produce mild oversteer.

It appears to use a parallel-twin engine with a five-speed transmission and all-wheel drive. Power was distributed 20 percent to the front and 80 percent to the rear. Its high-rev engine audio was shared with the Sanchez, and its rectangular headlamp used the Sanchez light texture.

At first, neither the standard Blazer nor the Hot Rod Blazer could be modified at Los Santos Customs. Title update 1.14 changed this, allowing both to receive the usual upgrades, including armour and brakes. The Hot Rod version and the Blazer Lifeguard are also specifically identified as related variants in the helmet behaviour noted below.

Trevor Philips and Ron Jakowski used Blazers during Nervous Ron. Dom Beasley and Franklin used one in Liquidity Risk, while Manuel used one in An American Welcome. In Online’s Asset Recovery VIP Work, one to four Blazers could serve as targets at Sandy Shores Sheriff’s Station, depending on organisation size. Crop Dustin’ could leave an accessible example on Procopio Beach when its herbicide-carrying Sadler appeared at Procopio Truck Stop.

Michael and Franklin automatically wore their own helmets while riding the Blazer, but Trevor did not; the same difference applied to the Hot Rod and Lifeguard versions. Another visual error allowed the rear licence-plate texture to be seen from either side, producing a mirrored appearance when viewed from behind.
