Blista Compact

The Blista Compact appeared in a Port Gellhorn postcard on the game's promotional site. That image showed the vehicle itself and indicated a revised design compared with an earlier appearance.

September 2022 leak footage had shown only a wrecked prop version. Its driver-side exterior handle included a key cylinder, a detail not called out on the prior versions. These are the documented Grand Theft Auto VI sightings; the Port Gellhorn appearance places it in that region.

The Compact's principal real-world influence is the Honda CR-X. Its side silhouette and rear bumper draw particularly from the second-generation CR-X, while the rear lamp assemblies resemble those of the fourth-generation Honda Civic Sedan. The centre rear section carries the car's name in a manner comparable to the CR-X.

Changes to the indicator placement gave the front a resemblance to an 1980s Chevrolet Chevette: indicators were moved below the headlamps, taking the place occupied by fog lamps on the 3D Universe model. The bonnet may also take inspiration from the Yugo GV.

In Grand Theft Auto IV, the hatchback could receive fog lamps, a windshield strip, side skirts, alternative exhausts and several spoiler treatments. Roof choices included a fixed panel, glass sunroof, or open sunroof. A passenger-side bonnet vent was standard, although its location did not line up with the transverse engine layout. Wrecked, partly assembled examples also appeared in garages, scrapyards, and other neglected locations around Liberty City.

Chinatown Wars retained the established design. The Nintendo DS edition looked somewhat older, while later releases combined elements of the 3D Universe and GTA IV fronts and omitted the extra bumper lights; some examples carried a rear spoiler.

The GTA V and Online version removed the standard bonnet vent, though customisation could restore it and the earlier extras. Its fog lamps became working equipment and, after the Heists update, could no longer be removed. Enhanced editions added the Compact along with the Go Go Space Monkey variant.

The GTA V-era cabin uses the same basic design as the Futo's, apart from a Dinka steering-wheel badge and door trims without the Futo pattern. Early versions also showed “FUTO” on the tachometer, before the Heists update removed that marking. The familiar two-tone paint treatment keeps the upper body in the primary colour and the lower portion in the secondary colour.

Grand Theft Auto V listed the Compact through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $42,000. Online availability was described as free, while returning players from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions could also obtain it without charge. A separate listing described the $42,000 price in both GTA V and Online.

Online originally ejected players who tried to enter one driven by an NPC. A later Super Sport Series update made those traffic cars usable, but they remained too hot to sell or customise. In GTA IV, the rear hatch glass could not be shot through, and Stevie's garage paid $1,500 for one after his assignments were completed.

In GTA V and Online, the Blista Compact sits in the Sports class despite driving more like a compact. Promotional copy initially identified its engine as a small V6, but the vehicle model shows a transversely mounted twin-cam inline-four in a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. Its sound is shared with the Monroe, Bifta, and Kuruma.

At lower speeds, its front-driven layout makes it responsive, but high-speed running brings pronounced understeer and occasional oversteer. Major impacts around either front wheel can jam it. The GTA IV version was among the lightest cars, with only the Uranus lighter, and shared engine audio with the Futo, Hakumai, and Rhapsody; it also used the Rhapsody's horn.
