Dominator

Vapid based the Dominator chiefly on the fifth-generation Ford Mustang. Its overall body shape and recessed headlamp areas follow that generation, while the round lamps, squared-off grille, and forward-sloping hood also point to it. The sharply creased side line and fastback rear profile draw from the first-generation Mustang.

The 1970 Ford Mustang fastback supplied the grille treatment, rear-end layout and taillamp design. “Dominator” was also the name of a hood offered for early-1970s Mustangs. Its hood vent, C-pillar, rear bumper and exhaust outlets additionally resemble parts of the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.

The two-door muscle car uses a broad front bumper with a mesh center opening, round fog lights, and vertical ducts at the corners. A split mesh grille sits above it, flanked by circular headlamps and smaller square lamps for indicators and additional lighting. “450cui Supercharged” markings appear at the grille and on the front fenders.

At the rear, a ducktail-style trunk spoiler frames a dark inset panel with three vertical red lamps on each side. The panel also carries the Vapid and Dominator branding, while the plate recess includes two square reversing lamps. Twin chrome exhaust tips sit in the lower dark section.

Its main paint color covers the body and interior stitching. Secondary paint is used below the sides, on the stripe between the wheel arches, and on a broad hood-to-rear stripe. Standard wheels are concave twelve-spoke alloys with low-profile tires. In enhanced editions, it received a dedicated black muscle-car interior with carbon-fiber trim, analogue instruments, four center gauges and a square driver-side air vent.

The Dominator has rear-wheel drive and a five-speed transmission. Its modeled V8 has cam hardware along both cylinder banks and a large cylindrical air cleaner with red filter material. The 450-cubic-inch badge identifies a supercharged 7.4-litre engine, and its audio is that of a torque-heavy V8 with muted exhausts.

In Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online, strong torque gives it quick acceleration and an above-average maximum speed, placing it among the quicker Muscle-class cars in a straight run. The same power makes it difficult through bends: it readily oversteers and fishtails, and a high-speed impact with a roadside barrier can send it over the obstruction. Drivers who adapt to that behavior can still use it competitively in races against all but a small number of other Muscle vehicles.

In first-person view, the far-right dashboard gauge is marked “BLOWER.” It remains still on an unmodified car, but responds to throttle input after a turbocharger is fitted. The label is technically inaccurate for a turbocharger, since “blower” commonly refers to a supercharger.

The Dominator is a Vapid-built Muscle vehicle in Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. In GTA V, it can be found at the Kortz Center during The Wrap Up, and a permanently black example appears opposite Peter Dreyfuss’s home in A Starlet in Vinewood. Replaying The Wrap Up increases its general spawning frequency; it can then appear near Los Santos International Airport at night or around Rockford Hills.

GTA Online made it available through Southern San Andreas Super Autos for $35,000 from patch 1.13. The Arena War website later listed it in enhanced editions, while the Arena War Career offered a $26,250 trade price through a Sponsorship Tier reward. It commonly appears when Simeon requests it and can spawn in Pillbox Hill when the player is using another muscle car. Pre-modified examples occasionally appear at Los Santos Customs in Burton, and those versions sell there for $19,940.

Enhanced-edition access to the standard Dominator includes the Arena Workshop. During Cops Capacity, Lester Crest supplies an armored yellow modified example with bulletproof tires, although a later patch prevented players from storing mission vehicles of this kind. Asset Recovery also uses one as a target at Mission Row Police Station.

Car Meet vehicle-cargo events feature modified Dominators alongside Futos. Eight closely related versions can appear during the meet and two can pursue after it; all share plate number 87DZU328. The pursuing pair have engine and transmission upgrades, allowing them to stay with a fleeing player more readily. A Dominator may rarely spawn with a chrome secondary racing stripe, a trait also shared by the Banshee.
