Growler

The Pfister Growler appears in Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer. Its visible GTA VI revision has a reworked front bumper and a slightly altered C-pillar, with the latter taking influence from the Porsche 992 GT3. No trailer timestamp, in-game region, screenshot placement, or other promotional appearance is identified for the vehicle.

These details apply specifically to the GTA VI version. The more extensive information on its bodywork, drivetrain, cabin, colours and upgrades comes from its earlier Grand Theft Auto Online incarnation and should not be treated as confirmed unchanged for GTA VI.

The Growler’s GTA Online design also drew from several cars besides its Cayman basis. Its front bumper resembles that of the Gemballa Mirage GT, while the side intake treatment recalls the 2010–2012 Audi R8 Spyder. The 2017 Alpine A110 informed the headlight treatment, rear diffuser and exhaust arrangement.

At the front, three broad mesh openings dominate the bumper, accompanied by narrow outer intakes. Dark headlamp casings contain round central lamps and vertical outer units, with silver detailing toward their inner edges. A Pfister badge sits on the bonnet, which opens onto a small front luggage compartment; Pfister branding is also placed near the windscreen.

Inset side sections run through the doors toward the rear intakes, below painted handles and mirrors mounted near the A-pillars. Black window trim surrounds the glass area, while black dividers separate the rear-quarter windows. The rear hatch opens to another small luggage space.

At the back, a black strip carries embossed Pfister lettering below a small lip. Rounded outer lamp housings use contemporary light strips, and red strips sit at the bumper’s outer edges. A recessed trapezoidal panel holds the plate, above a dark lower section with paired diffuser blades and one centrally mounted exhaust outlet.

The cabin is shared with the Comet S2. It includes a screen to the right of the speedometer, a Pfister emblem on the steering-wheel horn pad, and Pfister lettering across the passenger-side dashboard.

As a Pfister sports-class vehicle, the Growler sits close to the Comet S2 and the other Comet models in appearance. Its primary paint covers the body, while the secondary colour affects the mirrors, brake calipers and interior stitching. Interior trim and instrument-dial colours can also be selected.

Its standard wheels have ten paired spokes arranged as five outer and five inner elements, fitted with low-profile tyres. They resemble the Track-category Ice Storm wheel, but add visible rivets. A separate wheel colour exists only for Growlers created through Content Creator.

The car’s flat-six engine is indicated by six pipes visible beneath it. It uses a seven-speed transmission in a rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, matching the layout used by the Comet S2, Comet Retro Custom and Comet Safari. Its engine note resembles the Monroe, Bifta and Kuruma sounds, but at a higher pitch. In first-person view, starting it produces a distinctive electronic beep.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, the Growler was sold through Legendary Motorsport for $1,627,000. Its trade price was $1,220,250 after the required unlock. It was also offered as the eighth Prize Ride Challenge reward, which required eight Sprint Race victories during that week.

Additional livery choices were intended for the vehicle with the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, but were not properly added and initially remained inaccessible. The Agents of Sabotage update corrected that problem. Named paint schemes include Coverup, Vandal, Reverse Vandal, Tinkle Sprint and Tamarro Racing.

A cut Sessanta dialogue line mistakenly calls the Growler a “Groaner.”
