Marquis

The Marquis appears at 0:31 and 0:36 of the first GTA VI trailer, on Leonida waters. Rockstar’s promotional website also places it in the Vice City and Leonida Keys postcards.

A further promotional postcard shows the boat at Port Gellhorn. The second trailer shows one ashore beside Jason Duval’s stilt house at 0:21. These are confirmed visual appearances; the material does not establish a GTA VI price, handling model, or purchasable status.

Earlier versions are described as drawing on Faurby Yachts in their overall hull form and related features, though the game boat exaggerates the accommodation area and is both longer and narrower than those real vessels. The supplied material does not identify a specific Faurby model.

The HD-era redesign is compared directly with the Adjutor. Its bow, stern, and quarterdeck take especially strong cues from that reference, while the Marquis has a shorter prow. Its rear-side windows and portholes closely match the Adjutor’s shapes.

The original-era Marquis used a monohull leisure-yacht layout: railings around the deck, an anchor at the bow, wood-toned decking, a cabin with many windows, and a raised helm aft. Its Bermuda rig remained furled, so the sails did not propel it. Vice City and Vice City Stories commonly used white hulls with alternate upper colours, while San Andreas added wooden details and varied the lower-hull and cabin colours.

Grand Theft Auto IV replaced the earlier angular form with a fuller hull and long keel. Chrome bow and stern rails, side lifelines, orange fenders, deck cleats, winches, cabin lighting, benches, instruments, a swim platform, and a rudder/propeller assembly expanded the detailing. GTA V and Online retained that model, exposing a wooden mast beam and adding selectable sail-equipped or sail-less configurations, plus coloured stripes and cabin-window surrounds. In GTA V and Online, the Marquis belongs to the Boats class and is manufactured by Dinka in the HD Universe.

Across its appearances, the Marquis uses one inboard engine and a Z-drive propeller. In GTA IV, GTA V, and Online, its engine has a low-rev sound; GTA V and Online give it a tone compared with the Bullet and Tornado. Its sails may move in the wind in GTA V and Online, but they still provide no drive.

The vessel is among the slowest boats in its games. Earlier versions are heavy, stable, collision-resistant, and stiff to steer; GTA IV improves control but remains unsuitable for escaping Police Predators. GTA V and Online make direction changes and reversing more responsive, while its weight helps it ride waves. It can shove smaller boats, and its passenger capacity is contrasted with the Reefer, Tropic, and Coastguard, each of which can also carry eight people in San Andreas. The solid GTA V mast cannot pass through low bridges or other solid objects.

In Vice City Stories, the manual lists the Marquis at $84,800 in August 1984, while the PlayStation 2 version allows a $4,500 purchase at Viceport after From Zero to Hero. GTA V and GTA Online list it on DockTease for $413,990. In GTA V’s Father/Son, Michael De Santa’s stolen Marquis is a permanently fixed prop on a yacht trailer rather than a usable boat.

Grand Senora Desert contains two land-based Marquis props: an older wooden example without a propeller, marked “MARQUIS” on its stern, and a newer mastless hull bearing registration LS 4145 RS. Elysian Island drydocks hold newer examples with masts and flags. In GTA V and Online, the keel can pass through terrain when the boat is beached, apparently allowing shallow-water travel.
