The Airgator Airboat 09 is a flat-bottomed airboat due to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. It has been seen in two official screenshots of the Grassrivers, where it supports alligator hunting and fishing, and one is pursued by a Buzzard Attack Chopper in the second trailer. Judging by its design and naming scheme, it appears to be based on recreational hunting and fishing models from Diamondback Airboats.
Seating and Hull Layout
The Airboat 09 has a large, practical hull with several storage spaces set into its floor. Its operator sits alone in a raised position behind a two-person passenger bench. Both seating areas have curved rails on their left sides and rest on a structure tied into the hull’s metal framework.
A curved metal footrest stands ahead of the passenger bench. Welded braces connect it to the same framework beneath the seats. The Grassrivers examples do not all use identical equipment: visible differences include the seat trim, paint schemes, and propeller-cage construction.
Propeller Cage Variations
One cage carries Airboat 09 and Airgator Airboats markings. Its rounded outer frame is comparatively broad and uses a closely spaced grid. Another is longer, ending around the driver’s position, with a more open grid pattern. These differences are visible between the two boats shown in the Grassrivers material.
Diamondback Model Influences
The Airboat 09’s overall shape and its name appear to draw chiefly from Diamondback Airboats hunting and fishing craft, particularly the Hunting & Fishing 6, 13, and 15. Its metal footrest, protective propeller enclosure, seating layout, and bow rail also resemble details found across other Diamondback designs.
The Work Boat 39 and Work Boat 20 are possible influences on some of the working hardware, while the Pleasure 10 and Bow Fishing 8 resemble other individual elements. The result combines features associated with recreational fishing and hunting airboats rather than matching one named model exactly.
